| Learning Objectives | This comprehensive three days course provides key guidance on the assessment and maintenance of bridge structures and will enable the delegate to understand the problems associated with bridge performance and develop appropriate assessment, maintenance and repair strategies.
The course considers the deterioration of the most common bridge materials - concrete, masonry and steel - and develops strategies for testing, repair and replacement programs and considers Highways guidance and requirements and utilises a number of case studies to develop assessment and maintenance procedures. In addition, problem areas such as joints, bearings and waterproofing are considered and the overall management of maintenance programs discussed.
